Angela MillsAngela L. Mills, PA-C

(Practices at Owensboro Dermatology and Henderson Dermatology)

“My goal as a PA is to provide the utmost in dermatologic care while creating relationships with my patients that encompass trust, reliability, and confidence. I want each of your visits to be pleasant and for you to leave with no question unanswered.”

Passion for the Profession and Caring for People
“Since high school I knew I wanted to work in medicine because it is such a challenging and rewarding field that enables me to help people with something very valuable to them…their life.  While completing my undergraduate degree, I discovered the PA profession and knew immediately this was the career for me. Physician Assistants can be invaluable assets in a variety of health care settings.  I consider myself extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to provide patient care everyday as a dermatology PA. Working at Owensboro Dermatology Associates is more than a career; I get the chance to help people in ways that can change their lives dramatically.”

BSBiology, University of Kentucky
Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies:  University of Kentucky
Certified:  National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure; Advanced Cardiac Life Support; CPR

Devoted to Patients

“One of the most rewarding aspects of my career as a PA is being able to spend ample time with my patients.   I have the opportunity to address all my patients’ dermatological concerns by actively listening and thoroughly explaining diseases/disorders and possible treatments.  I strive to tailor therapies to meet the expectations and needs of each patient – actually taking care of the patient and not just the disease.  I want to encourage each patient to participate in the development of a personal treatment plan that satisfies his or her needs.  My profession requires ongoing medical education and academic evaluation that ensures that the care being provided to patients is of the highest quality and effectiveness.  These strict requirements of the profession help PAs keep current on new therapies so that the profession continues to evolve for the benefit the patients.”

Committed to the Community

Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States.  “Through my daily interactions with patients and by my participation in annual skin cancer screenings, I hope to make those statistics diminish.  I plan to educate young people and others about the risk factors of skin cancer and prevention techniques via community presentations, our weekly radio show on WOMI (1490AM), and other opportunities as they arise.”
